Surf life is somehow self-contained. It starts with apps scanning the weather and the texture of the waves; with chicken wings at Kama, along the Atlantic coastline.
And when the waves have been experienced, it’s live music in a burger joint, from 4 p.m. to the last rays of golden hour. There is a chilled atmosphere only sun and beach life seem to craft. By dusk, when the surfboards lean like resting soldiers, and the drums take over, a new mother dances to the beat, carefree, contagious in smile and sheer joy.
