Convento, Olhão, A Space Out of Sight

Convento was where village girls working in Olhão’s thriving canning industry would live. It was a safe place wrapped in mystery, a place where girls shared dormitories surrounding the central cloister. Today, it remains a sanctuary away from the busier tourist trails; an axis from which visiting the natural and cultural treasures on the Rio Formosa.
