Oblique Memories.
Silent Architectures.

In this essay, landscapes and geographies whisper lines like a theater prompter. Are we close enough to memorize our ancestors’ writing? Far enough to observe in stillness without being a nuisance? Here, animals converse. Humans have renounced it. A cat in Istanbul yawns. A cat in Paris naps. A puppy calls for consent. A boat-transplant sits with ennui. Lie down in silence atop the land called Les Cévennes. Feel on your skin the millenary limestone pavement. Beneath the world’s perpetual constellations and dawns—an eternal gift—perhaps lies a tenuous chance for some to downsize egos and crepuscular world visions. Or perhaps not.
