Évora 2027:
A European Capital of Culture with Timeless Swagger

Évora, The European Capital of Culture 2027 and a UNESCO World Heritage site, carries the proud allure of its millennia-old history and preserved treasures. Its early settlers arrived around 4000 B.C.
Today, resolutely turned towards the future, the city is focused on green energy, attracts massive flux of tourists, and culture lovers, and filled the street with the youth studying in its university.
Nicole from Lisbon and Aybüke from Turkey have met at the University of Évora, and share housing, cooking turns, and viewpoints on the shape of the world. They too stand for sustainability, and cherish the shape of the city that nurtures their friendship without having to commute.
Évora is the capital of the Alentejo region, reigning over Portugal’s largest and perhaps most poetic landscape. Despite its flow of visitors, the city preserves a chilled rhythm and cleverly markets its enduring gourmet traditions.
