Prison Insights is an event that promotes the most innovative programs in the world around prison systems. An initiative by RESHAPE.

RESHAPE is a non-profit organisation aiming to redesign the Prison System and improve social reintegration rates.

CEO Duarte Fonseca, 33, was born and raised in the city of Oporto, Portugal. There he completed a degree in Occupational Therapy and worked in a female prison establishment for 1 year. He also holds an executive master in human resource management and has worked for 4 years as an innovation consultant for the Lisbon-based accelerator Beta-i. Duarte contributed to create RESHAPE and co-founded Reshape Ceramics, a social entreprise that creates jobs for the prison community.

Prison Insights 2022 was a success in all aspects. Rarely has a conference shown more engagement and uplifting togetherness. Absolutely each speaker [but the last], was a role model in engaging on social innovation and inclusion. The programme and the flow of the day were impeccably crafted with – a Portuguese signature, the greatest simplicity for essentials. The Gulbenkian Foundation was a gem of a venue with its beautiful garden to network for lunch.
